Archived Echoes : Daily Poutine

Stories from a publication that burned bright and brief

Here are a few pieces I wrote for Daily Poutine, a short-lived but spirited digital magazine. The magazine didn’t last—but the words did. These articles meant something when I wrote them, and they still carry that pulse. So I kept them, archived as echoes of what sparked when curiosity, caffeine, and a deadline collided.

A go-to space for sports fanatics with a pulse on the game

I worked here as the primary NFL editor. Yes, I’ve read more about touchdowns and turf wars than Tom Brady’s played snaps. I edited zillions (okay, maybe not zillions, but close) of articles across divisions. My job? To make every piece airtight—tone, grammar, facts, typography, the whole playbook. I also kept a close eye on bounce rates and reader flow, making sure the content held attention and didn’t send folks running for the exit arrow.

Here’s a peek at some of the editorial calls I made.

I began as the primary NFL editor—yes, but I didn’t stop there.

Over time, I stepped into HR and internal branding roles, recruiting editors with a sharp eye, mentoring talent, and shaping a work culture that didn’t just meet deadlines, but actually liked doing it. I wrote internal copy that boosted morale, clarified vision, and made people feel seen. To me culture work isn’t fluff—it’s fuel.

Here are a few pieces I wrote to keep the team’s spirit high and the brand voice sharp.
